The Ontology Engineering Group is at the top-ten of research groups at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). It is based on the School of Computer Science at UPM. Its research areas cover Ontological Engineering, Semantic Web and Linked Data, Semantics in Open Science, and Data-Driven Language Technologies. We have developed applications in a wide range of domains, including knowledge management, environment, e-commerce, job market, funding, geospatial, libraries, etc.

Job responsibilities:

• Development of ontologies for smart cities
• Development of adapters for data integration
• Development of semantic interoperability components

Specific requirements:

• Candidates must be tax residents in Spain, or be willing to become tax residents in Spain. The office is located in Boadilla del Monte, near Madrid, Spain.

Qualifications:

• The candidate must hold a degree and master in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Mandatory requirements:

• The ability to work to tight deadlines is essential.
