The Ontology Engineering Group is at the top-ten of research groups at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). It is based on the School of Computer Science at UPM. Its research areas cover Ontological Engineering, Semantic Web and Linked Data, Semantics in Open Science, and Data-Driven Language Technologies. We have developed applications in a wide range of domains, including knowledge management, environment, e-commerce, job market, funding, geospatial, libraries, etc.

Job vacancy: Language technology developer

Job responsibilities:

• Creation of terminologies and linguistic resources as structured data for interoperability within data spaces
• Development of techniques for converting data into structured data for data spaces
• Development of techniques and datasets for integrating structured and unstructured data into language models

Specific requirements:

• Candidates must be tax residents in Spain, or be willing to become tax residents in Spain. The office is located in Boadilla del Monte, near Madrid, Spain.

Qualifications:

• The candidate must hold a degree and master in Language sciences or a related discipline.

Mandatory requirements:

• Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Spanish. Ability to work as part of a team.
