This metric checks if an ontology imports or extends other vocabularies besides RDF, OWL, and RDFS in its classes, properties or data properties.

What is being measured?

The presence and usage of external vocabularies that the ontology imports or extends, beyond RDF, OWL, and RDFS.

Why should we measure it?

Reusing existing vocabularies improves interoperability, reduces redundancy, and fosters resuability.

What must be provided for the measurement?

An ontology URI or file.

What are considered valid results?

The ontology imports or extends one or more vocabularies in addition to RDF, OWL, and RDFS.
