This metric verifies whether the ontology includes a set of required metadata fields to ease findability and reusability.

What is being measured?

The presence of the following minimum metadata in the ontology:

  • Title
  • Description
  • License
  • Version IRI
  • Creator
  • Namespace URI

Why should we measure it?

To ensure the ontology provides sufficient context for reuse, versioning, and compliance with FAIR principles.

What must be provided for the measurement?

An ontology URI or file.

What are considered valid results?

The ontology must contain all specified metadata fields.
